Flight search engine Skyscanner has added three domains to its portfolio of local country sites.

Skyscanner.se, Skyscanner.at and Skyscanner.ch are the latest to be released, bringing the total number of country specific sites to 20.

Co-founder Barry Smith said: "We are delighted to launch Skyscanner sites for the Austrian, Swedish and Swiss markets.

"Skyscanner was already available in the local languages of these countries, but it’s vital that we offer our users local domains as well, to build brand, establish trust and boost search engine rankings."

Last year Skyscanner hired a team of international marketing managers from countries including Sweden, Russia and Germany to assist its expansion in Europe and North America and now more than 60% of its traffic comes from outside the UK and Ireland.
