Flights and rail search app launched by Momondo

A cheap flights and rail search application for iPhones has been introduced by Danish travel search engine Momondo.com.

The free app’s filters allow users to sort by price, departure point, flight duration and whether they want a direct service or stop-over.

It provides access to global low cost and major airline flights and booking services and several train routes. The app makes it possible to save the search results in real time and email these to travel companions. 

Momondo partner Martin Mumbye said: “Our iPhone app has been developed so that our on-the-move users can always access Momondo and search for the best real time offers on flights.

“This is the first of a series of launches that’ll make it even easier for our users to get the full benefit of Momondo’s services on their smart phones.”

In addition to offering online search, Momondo provides user-generated city guides and is one of the largest publishers of print guidebooks in Denmark.
