Former TravelTainment group CEO Andrew Owen-Jones has been recruited by travel software firm Multicom.

He will act a consultant to support and advise on the company’s global expansion plans.

Prior to his CEO role, Owen-Jones was joint managing director where he was credited with advancing the establishment of the international TravelTainment organisations in France and the UK.

He was also responsible for international strategy in tourism for Amadeus before moving to TravelTainment.

Multicom managing director John Howell said: “Naturally we are delighted to have been able to secure the services of Andy Owen-Jones who will bring a valuable strategic input to Multicom.

“Andy’s extensive knowledge of our sector and understanding of the international markets we are expanding into will be of enormous benefit to us going forward.”

Owen-Jones added: “This is an exciting time to be working with Multicom and a fresh challenge that I am looking forward to with relish.

“Multicom is an ambitious company ideally placed to maximise its potential globally and I am pleased to have the opportunity to support them to achieve their longer term objectives.”
