Views differ wildly on how innovative travel is and Travolution will look to provide an answer this year with the publication of its second annual Travel Innovation Report.

We have employed the services of research partner Kew Associates to provide a detailed analysis of Office for National Statistics data to give an indication of how travel firms’ investment in technology has been affected by the downturn.

Did last year’s projection that spend on IT was set to bounce back in 2012 to 2008 levels bear out, or did the continuing difficult trading conditions mean that prediction turned out to be overly optimistic?

Ahead of the publication of the report in March, a Travolution Question Time debate at next week’s Travel Technology Europe trade show in partnership with ecommerce agency FactFinder Travel will debate the issue of innovation in the sector.

A senior industry panel will answer your questions with FactFinder founder and chief executive Carsten Kraus joining former Teletext Holidays boss and now Youtravel managing director Matt Cheevers and On Holiday Group chief executive Steve Endacott.

To register your question go to our dedicated Question Time website and make sure you are registered for Travel Technoogy Europe to ensure you are there on the day to ask your question.

The innovation Question Time takes place at 4pm on Wednesday February 8, the second day of the show at the Earl’s Court exhibition centre in London.
