All of Virgin Australia’s inventory, including both public and private fares, will be distributed to agents as part of a new deal with Travelport.

The new full content agreement enables “considerable improvements” in workflow efficiencies for travel agents by having all travel content in one environment, according to the travel technology firm.

Travelport Asia-Pacific distribution sales and services vice president Damian Hickey said: “The new agreement with Virgin Australia is an excellent outcome for Travelport and our global subscribers.

“We are delighted to partner with such a significant carrier in the Australian aviation market.

“Securing full Virgin Australia content delivers many benefits for travel agents, including access to the most competitive fares available on one centralised platform, so they are able to provide better travel options and service to their customers.”
