Eurail launches European rail planner app

A rail planner app designed to assist Eurail and InterRail pass holders has been developed to provide-pan European train timetable information on the move.
Besides timetable information, the free app - available from the App Store or Google Play – also helps travellers to find their closest train station with an inbuilt augmented reality function.
Rail pass holders are entitled to extra benefits featured on the app such as discounted boat and ferry trips, hotels and museums. Information about the discounts is featured on the app, as well as city maps and country facts.
As an offline app, an internet connection is no longer necessary once it has been downloaded, with the exception of accessing certain special features.
This ensures that travellers have timetable information at hand while avoiding expensive mobile roaming costs.
