Perfect wedding webinars are being expanded by Perfect Weddings Abroad to coincide with Valentine’s Day.
The webinars are being increased from a handful of destinations to locations worldwide following six months of trials.
They take place on evenings and weekends to enable potential wedding couples to view them together.
The company, which became part of the US-based Destination Weddings Travel Group last summer, claims the webinars contributed towards a record month in January, doubling its previous best month ever for new weddings booked.
The webinars showcase the best wedding venues in each location; give inside information on the venues, a question and answer session and then offer ‘exclusive’ webinar-only deals for couples who book there and then.
The full wedding webinar schedule will see the introduction of worldwide destinations. In addition to live broadcasts there are on-demand webinars featuring tips on topics such as the legal document process, how to keep family happy without compromising the wedding and other relevant content.
Perfect Weddings Abroad plans to launch a dedicated website to support the live and on demand webinars.
Marketing director Danny Waine said: "Although webinars are used extensively for B2B, they’ve not really taken off in B2C sales in the same way.
“We have been trialling our live wedding webinars for the last six months with Cyprus, Mexico and Malta weddings.
“Couples enjoy the interactive nature of the presentations and the fact they’re taking part from the comfort of their own home. They fall in love with our brand and the partner we are featuring, so it is a real endorsement for the tourist board or hotelier.”
He added: “The key thing is that as we're there live with the couples, unlike other forms of advertising, they buy from us on the spot.
“It also makes the whole experience of booking their wedding and holiday really fun, informative and they feel involved. The feedback that we have had from trade partners, our own specialists and our wedding couples has been phenomenal.
“As an online business, these webinars compliment our social media strategy perfectly, whilst showcasing the personality and expertise of our specialists.
“We’re on the lookout for new webinar partners, but as it’s been so successful during the trial period, we already have a waitlist for some destinations.”
