A new player in the crowded metasearch travel sector has stuck its head above the parapet promising to find travellers’ their top 10 hotels.

The site is the latest to tour to its users a more curated, personlised service than the usual never-ending list of deals and options.
It says its unique ranking algorithm TopRank analyses over 500,000 hotels around the world to create a bespoke top 10 list of hotels.
The founder said the site aims to be ultra-quick and was built due to frustration with rival hotel websites providing endless unstructured lists of unsuitable hotels.
Top10.com’s chief executive Tom Leathes said: “We believe that finding the right hotel shouldn’t require hours of research.
“With Top10.com, we’ve built a service that doesn’t give you thousands of options - it just gives you your 10 best hotel deals, every time.
“Europe’s hotel metasearch sector is growing at around 100% a year, but in 2012 just 1 in 3 hotel bookings were made online.
“Whilst this is already a big sector, there’s still huge potential for growth and innovation in the space.”
Top10 compares prices from major online booking sites like booking.com, lastminute.com, Expedia and Latfrerooms.com.
The site allows users to filter results based on factors like price, location and review scores.
It will also filter results according to criteria such as ‘boutique’, ‘with pool’, or ‘with restaurant’.
Top10.com was founded in 2012 by Leathes, Harry Jones and Alex Buttle, an experienced entrepreneurial team with three successful exits behind them.
The company is backed by investors including Accel Partners, Founder Collective and Forward Venture Partners.
