Expedia-owned accommodation OTA Hotels.com has struck a deal with HolidayPhone to market roaming-free mobile internet, calls and text service to its customers.

A 40% off discount voucher will be offered to customers via a co-branded click-through website once they have made a booking.

The offer will only be available until April 1, 2014.

HolidayPhone claims it can save travellers hundreds or even thousands of pounds in mobile phone charges when abroad.

Yasmine Bratt, vice president retail and strategy at Hotels.com, said: “This is an exciting partnership with HolidayPhone and a great deal for our customers who want to stay connected when they travel abroad.

“At Hotels.com, we are dedicated to offering our customers promotions and offers that make the travel experience even better, and we believe that the HolidayPhone offer fits that perfectly.

Emma Heimonen, HolidayPhone chief executive, added: “We are happy to be working with Hotels.com in helping travellers keep their connected lifestyle when abroad. Hotels.com is one of the world’s leading hotel booking sites, and a great platform to reach and connect with travellers.”
