Agents and operators are being offered a new white-label trip guide and planning app by Canada-based mTrip.
The full-customisable offering allows third parties to provide a fully branded offline app for Android and iPhone devices. Being 100% offline allows it to eliminate roaming costs.
The app can be uploaded with all details of the customers’ trip including travel documents and vouchers, as well as offering in-travel destination guides, maps and other information.
A daily itinerary can be provided by the tour operator or generated automatically based on customers’ preferences by mTrip’s Trip Genius algorithm.
MTrip says the product helps tour operators to increase loyalty and customer satisfaction as well as expanding their brand awareness.
One of the ways it does this is by encourages sharing of experiences and images on Facebook and on the operator’s own website via a trip journal.
The firm said its white label app aims to “truly allow tour operators to provide customers with everything they’ll need for their trip in the palm of their hand while satisfying the modern needs of tour operators: to improve customer satisfaction, visibility, and relationships with their customers”.
Among mTrip’s existing customers is US giant Travel Leaders Group and inbound tour operator Exotissimo in Asia.
