A pioneering online virtual marketplace for serviced apartments has been launched by Citybase Apartments, a UK agency in the sector.
The Orbital Partnership (OP) network will connect providers and owners around the globe to make properties available.
It claims the technology platform will combat fragmentation in the market and sets a new standard for the serviced apartments industry.
Citybase says the new marketplace will enable partner to increase revenue by opening up global inventory to their customers.
And it claims owners and operators will be able to access a global audience free of charge. The network offers real-time availability, instant confirmation and charges no booking fees.
Gary Hurst, Citybase’s sales director, said: “This is the first network of its kind in the serviced apartment sector, a genuine and significant revolution.”
A MyAccount feature on OP provides partners complete control and total visibility of inventory, rates and bookings.
“MyAccount gives users a comprehensive overview of booking history, a booking calendar and detailed management information (MI) on an intuitive dashboard,” said Hurst.
Citybase added OP will ensure a consistency of product, service and booking processes rolled out globally.
OP partners will also have access to full training and support at no extra cost.
The assisted sales training team will customise the technology to meet the needs of each business and provide ongoing support to ensure they are optimising use of the system.
