Amadeus has agreed large-scale technological cooperation with leading Russian metasearch service Aviasales.

The deal will lead to the adoption of a search solution called Amadeus Meta Pricer which analyses data on available low fares from the Amadeus GDS using its web services technology.

Aviasales handles about 400,000 search queries a day.

Amadeus Meta Pricer aims to provide a more complete and accurate search of airlines’ offerings via the Aviasales website.

Aviasales founder Konstantin Kalinov said: “This global partnership with Amadeus brings new opportunities, allowing us to provide our clients with an intuitive, effective, high-speed service, integrating the widest range of travel options offered by airlines worldwide in this rapidly growing market.

“It is also a huge step forward in our ‘Fair Price’ programme, developed to improve search results and price calculations. Amadeus Meta Pricer has made it possible for us to offer better cooperation options to travel service suppliers, rendering the necessity for system integration and costs involved redundant.”

Amadeus Russia project and senior account manager Alexei Alexeev added: “We are pleased to help Aviasales increase profitability and develop business with our latest IT solutions.

“I am certain that the renewed search service will also help strengthen the loyalty of the company’s customers. Our partnership with Aviasales proves Amadeus’ commitment to provide technological support to new business models in online, the most promising and fast-growing distribution channel.”
