Island Cruises is revamping its website following a full usability and accessibility review and a push to introduce social networking tools in the future.

The operator is aiming to unveil the new website early next year and is aiming to simplify the search and booking methods used by consumers.

The site is being redeveloped by Lawton eMarketing and is just one part of a wider strategy to beef up Island’s Internet presence, including its online marketing.

User reviews are also expected to be on the planning table following the relaunch.

Island eCRM manager Tom Brett said: “We’ve put the users’ experience at the heart of the project and with the help of CX Partners and Lawton eMarketing have gleamed some important insight into how our customers plan and buy cruise holidays”.
