Australiatravemarket.com has given its portfolio a major boost with the addition of Thomas Cook’s entire flight product range for Australia.

The permanent move follows a successful pilot for Thomas Cook on the portal and will be buoyed by a tripling of spend with Global Travel Market, the website’s owner, during the busy January booking period.

Thomas Cook will be the first of the UK’s so-called Big Four multiples to hand over content to the site.

Existing partners include Travelbag, STA Travel, Ebookers, Opodo and Quest Travel.

Global Travel Market managing director, Dave Simmons, said: "We are pleased to sign up Thomas Cook and start featuring their flights on australiatravelmarket.com.

"We all know how tough the market has been this year and similarly the bigger earnings that can be made through long haul travel so it is no surprise that Thomas Cook should be keen to work closely with us, just as we are with its staff.

"With the ever-increasing popularity of the internet and the new markets it opens to traditional tour operators, we are offering them a highly cost-effective way of accessing a customer-base keen to go Down Under."
