German travel technology firm Partners Software is looking to grow its business in the UK further after signing a major deal with The Appointment Group to run its flight technology systems.

The Bremen-based company will integrate its LOW.FARE system into TAG’s back-end platform, powering its corporate travel divisions including Travel By Appointment and Music By Appointment.

The LOW.FARE product allows travel managers to search and book tickets across non-GDS airfares alongside scheduled carriers.

The system is the result of 20 years in the travel technology business and versions are currently being used by Carlson Wagonlit and Worldspan.

Partners Software managing director, Kai Hannemann, said: “LOW.FARE saves time and increases efficiency by guiding agents through the jungle of low-cost carriers.

“Consultants can be up and running with the technology, which easily integrates with other systems, in a short space of time as it requires very little training.”

The system currently searches on 95 non-GDS carriers.

Worldspan’s RateRunner and CWT’s WebFares products are variations of the original LOW.FARE package.
