Virgin Media is reviewing the travel search contract on its main portal, currently held by TravelSupermarket.

The review is in line with the terms of the existing contract – which was a six-month extension signed in March this year – but is likely to see another round of pitches for the business.

TravelSupermarket currently powers travel search on a string of high profile media and home broadband sites including Guardian Travel, Telegraph Travel and Tiscali.

Virgin Media rival Orange appointed Sidestep to run its travel search business December last year and AOL UK has temporarily handed search duties to Kayak, in place of Yahoo-owned Kelkoo.
