Viator will officially unveil its new website this week with a series of improvements including ratings, reviews and other elements of social networking.

The California-based travel portal will include a star rating system, shareable wish lists and planning itineraries, and an Air Miles eligibility programme for all products booked through the site.

The revamped site will carry around 15,00 reviews of tours and experiences in over 400 destinations around the world.

Founder and chairman Rob Cuthbert said: “The most memorable part of a traveller’s trip isn’t the flight or the hotel, it’s what they choose to do while at their destination.

“We’ve given Viator.com a makeover and expanded our content and functionality to make it easier for travelers to plan what they’ll do at their destination to create unforgettable experiences at an unbeatable value.”
