EasyJet API fares on Thomas Cook

Thomas Cook will be the biggest European travel company so far to benefit from a recent decision to open the EasyJet API following an agreement signed with Partners Software.
The German-based company has become the latest technology intermediary to announce a partnership with EasyJet to take an official API feed of live prices from the low-cost carrier for third parties.
The Partners deal, which is expected to running within weeks, will give other clients such as STA Travel and Ebookers access to the Easyjet data stream through its Low.Fare booking system.
The move will end the existing practice by Partners of screen scraping the EasyJet system to provide fares for clients.
Thomas Cook has traditionally only featured EasyJet fares obtained via the old method – a practice the carrier has stated it is keen to eradicate through the opening up of its consumer API.
Partners Software managing director Wolfgang Brinker said: “The direct connection between EasyJet and Partners will create a more efficient and secure service for our customers.”
