CarTrawler has penned an exclusive multi-year deal with Spanish low-cost carrier Clickair.

The CarTrawler system has gone live on clickair.com, which anticipates passengers volumes of more than seven million in 2008.

The car-hire specialist features offers from major rental companies in an unbiased display and is integrated into the air-booking path on clickair.com.

Jaime Lloret, Clickair’s vice president of marketing said: “Ancillary revenue is a core part of our growth strategy, and car rental forms a significant portion of that.

“Offering our passengers the best possible instrument to facilitate choice was our central goal in selecting CarTrawler as our partner.”

Robin White, CarTrawler’s vice president of business development, added: “Offering value to the consumer is key in achieving the maximum possible conversion when selling car rental.

“Clickair has truly set the new standard for car rental ancillary selling and we look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with them.”
