Opodo appoints new commercial director

Opodo.co.uk today announces the appointment of Andrew Wilson to the position of commercial director, based at the company’s head office in London.
Wilson has a proven track record in the world of online travel, spending the past four years with leading European online accommodation provider Venere.com, where he most recently held the role of search marketing manager.
Commenting on his appointment, Wilson said: “I thrive in a dynamic market environment and I’m looking forward to applying my online travel experience to my new role. Opodo is an intelligent brand with an innovative approach and I’m excited to be joining the team.”
Caroline Noble, director, Opodo UK, added: “This year has been the most commercially successful for Opodo UK since its inception in 2001, with record profits posted earlier in the year.
"Andrew’s role is integral to continuing the company’s commercial success as well as growing its market share, and I am very much looking forward to having him onboard.”
