Comtec secures customer for TravelConnect system

Comtec is now taking bookings across its TravelConnect retail search and booking system a year after unveiling the system.
The company declined to name the customer but said it was a 40-branch retailer and that other customers are also in the pipeline.
Features on the TravelConnect system include a blended dynamic packaging and traditional packages search facility and calendar views to match prices to customers’ budgets.
The technology also provides an area for the promotion of suppliers’ special offers or for a retail chain to post its own news.
The system has also been adapted and localised for the Canadian market following Comtec’s acquisition of tour operator content management company Comnet in December 2008.
