Experience and activity specialist Viator has revamped its affiliate distribution platform.

The redesigned Viator Partner Program enables travel websites to offer users a broad range of sightseeing tours, activities, attraction passes and event tickets with no set up costs.

The affiliate program, which was originally created in 2001, already provides more than 1,000 partners including airlines, hotel companies, destination sites and online travel agencies with an ancillary revenue stream through access to more than 5,500 activities in more than 450 destinations.

The system features customer reviews, star ratings and suggested itineraries as well as respected and trusted local operators, handpicked by Viator’s in-house travel experts.

In addition, the user interface and search functionality have been improved.

Viator founder and chairman Rod Cuthbert said the new Partner Platform makes integrating tours and activities a “no-brainer” for partner sites.

“With the industry’s interest in and need for ancillary revenue sources growing rapidly, this is a timely update to our well-established affiliate distribution program," he added.

Partners can customise their white-label site with branded headers, widgets and XML feeds.

Viator also claims most companies can be up and running in less than 30 minutes.
