Hilton creates mobile phone service

Hilton Hotels has teamed up with Mobile Travel Technologies to develop a mobile phone application.
The system, which will be unveiled on Friday in the UK and Germany, enables travellers to look up a hotel, view pictures, directions and facilities and make a booking. A ‘click to call’ facility is also available.
The technology also allows users to access and change their bookings and is integrated into the Hilton HHonours loyalty scheme.
The system uses MTT’s m2bed platform to optimise the site to the relevant handheld device.
An iPhone application has also been developed.
MTT estimates that the usage of travel services on its platforms is increasing 20% a month.
