Thomas Cook director of ecommerce Russell Gould has left the company.

Thomas Cook UK mainstream travel chief executive Pete Constanti confirmed Gould had decided to leave and said: "I would like to thank Russell for his contribution to the development of our e-commerce proposition and wish him all the best for the future."

Managing director for sales Simon Robinson will continue to manage e-commerce for the group.

Gould, who was digital director for MyTravel before its merger with Thomas Cook, launched a new e-commerce platform for thomascook.co.uk last December.
