Europcar is enabling customers to plan their journeys using Microsoft Surface tables following a tie-up with Fortune Cookie.

The service is being launched at ITB Berlin this week and will be installed at Munich Airport in the next few weeks.

The plan is for the tables to be extended to a number of Europcar outlets across Europe from the Summer.

The Microsoft Surface tables will enable Europcar customers to plan their journeys, gather information on destinations or plan based on a theme such as gastronomy or history.

The technology will also display special offers from Europcar’s partners including Accor hotels. The application will also provide practical guides on the vehicles they have rented.
