Amadeus launches CheckMyTrip for mobile

Amadeus has enhanced its travel planning CheckMyTrip technology with a version for mobile devices as well as a Facebook application.
The mobile service enables travellers to check the latest flight information, weather in destination and access city guides. Amadeus has released a CheckMyTrip pilot for the iPhone and is trialling a version for Blackberries.
The global distribution giant carried out research to find that almost three-quarters of agents do not provide customers with a mobile service.
The Facebook application, launched in beta, allows users with a Facebook account to share travel plans booked via the Amadeus system with friends and family.
