A selection of newspapers are to be provided via Apple iPads to guests staying at Sofitel Hotels in four European cities.

The luxury French chain has set up "The Kiosk" application to serve as an interactive press review, offering daily newspapers and magazines on economics, sports, fashion and lifestyle.

Guests staying in top suites in Paris, London, Munich and Brussels are provided with iPads during their stay.

The application allows guests to choose from a selection of six newspapers and magazines for each of the six selected countries: the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and the US.

Titles such as Le Monde, The Wall Street Journal, El Pais, The Financial Times, Die Welt, Vogue and l’Officiel, are available.

Sofitel plans to expand the iPad news service across its worldwide network of 130 properties.
