Car hire broker CarDelMar has started working with offline travel agencies claiming they can help them be as cheap as the online competition.

The firm is offering a flexible commission model under which agencies can set their own mark up after reporting increasing demand from high street stores for cheap car hire offers.

Carsten Greiner, CarDelMar's managing director, said: "CarDelMar partners can offer their clients hire cars at incredibly cheap prices and by doing so benefit from lucrative commissions."

CarDelMar has been working in the UK market since 2006 and was set up in March 2005. It works with a range of suppliers including Avis, Europcar and local firms and offers car hire in over 60 countries.

An agent website is available where potential partners can download a contract and manager their account.
