Independent hotels can now post information including room rates on Google Maps and Google Places using Worldhotels.

The hotel group is the first of its kind to allow independent hotels to display their real time rates and availability on Google Maps and Places.

This pay-per-click ad model is connected with the groups booking engine. The first hotel to test the new pricing display option is the Worldhotels property Georgian Terrace in Atlanta, USA.

Using Googles service, customers can enter their desired arrival time and departure date into Google Maps, find the best prices and check availability, all in real time.

The service also posts prices from hotel websites next to those offered by travel agents. This helps drive customers directly to the hotels own booking engine.

“We are proud to be the first hotel group to be able to offer this revolutionary new functionality to our hotels together with Trust International”, said Robert Hornman, managing director of Worldhotels.

“This valuable tool will drive qualified traffic to the websites of our hotels.” The service is already available in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
