Spotted by Locals, the local travel blogging site, has released 33 city guide iPhone apps.

These give users access to tips from locals, maps, nearby points of interest and other information, all without needing an internet connection.

The idea behind the apps is to help travellers experience European cities like a local, without having to pay expensive data and roaming charges.

All the tips included in the apps come from Spotted by Locals 175 hand-picked bloggers living in 33 European cities.

Currently the cities covered by the apps are: Amsterdam, Antwerp, Athens, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Bucharest, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dublin, Geneva, Ghent, Glasgow, Hamburg, Helsinki, Istanbul, Krakow, Lisbon, Ljubljana, London, Madrid, Milan, Munich, Oslo, Paris, Prague, Rome, Rotterdam, Stockholm, Vienna, Warsaw, Zagreb and Zurich.

The apps are available for the iPhone, iPod touch and the iPad.
