Travelzoo sells millionth Local Deals voucher

Deals publisher Travelzoo has taken the number of its Local Deals vouchers sold beyond the one million mark.

Travelzoo claims to have recommended more than 2,000 offers across more than 75 European and US cities in the last 12 months. 

“In less than a year, we have established a profitable, high-growth business that is on track to exceed annualised gross revenues of more than $100 million globally,” said Glen Drury, senior vice president of Travelzoo Local Deals in Europe. 

“Unlike much of the deals market, we continue to focus on publishing outstanding deals at top-quality restaurants and spas such as Gordon Ramsay’s Maze in London, Michelin-starred EVO restaurant in Barcelona, the Club Olympus Spa at the Hyatt Regency in Mainz, Germany and the Hilton Arc de Triomphe's Spa Mosaic in Paris.”

London was the first European city to launch Local Deals with a massage and facial offer at the Purity Spa in London's Park Lane Hilton. Over 2000 vouchers were sold.
