Former Gullivers Travel Associates president and CEO Ken Esterow has joined the board of directors at Orbitz Worldwide.

Esterow, an industry consultant, held a variety of positions at Travelport and Cendant Corporation and headed subsidiary GTA from 2007 until its sale to Kuoni earlier this year.

Prior to joining Travelport, he served as president and CEO for the Cendant Travel Distribution Services Division, among other senior leadership positions at the company. Earlier in his career, Esterow was a management consultant at Deloitte & Touche LLP.

He has joined the Orbitz board following the resignation of William Griffith, who is leaving to devote more time to his other professional responsibilities, the company said.

Orbitz CEO Barney Harford said: "Ken brings a wealth of previous travel and business experience to this role and we are excited to have him join the board."
