Travel price comparison website Dealchecker.co.uk has seen subscribers to its weekly ‘real deals’ newsletter hit a record 1.4 million.

A re-design for the newsletter resulted in an uplift of 20% in click through traffic for travel partners from mid-January. This may well have had a positive influence on the recent subscriber increases, the company believes.

The company has worked with 54 travel partners from a range of sectors in the past year. The newsletter highlights the 20 best travel deals available.

Newsletter editor Alice Mariscotti Wyatt said: “We have seen a sustained growth of subscribers in recent months, up by 17% in the last three months and 55% in the last year. We now have just over 1.4 million subscribers.”

Managing director Mark Attwell said: “We are on course to reach 1.5 million subscribers for the newsletter by the end of March.

“Recent design changes to the real deals newsletter have been well received by travel partners and subscribers alike; we see the newsletter as an ongoing project and will continue to develop it to get the best results for our subscribers and travel partners.”

“The newsletter is a great platform for a wide range of partners. From large operators, to small and niche providers, our aim is to provide great value holidays and identify the best offers available on the market, this recent growth is positive and we hope to see more of the same and reach the two million mark later this year.”
