Amadeus announces new UK and Ireland marketing head

Amadeus has appointed former marketing director of rival GDS Sabre Rob Sinclair-Barnes as its new UK and Ireland marketing head.

Based in Amadeus’s Crawley headquarters, Sinclair-Barnes will manage the customer engagement programme and IT product development planning strategy.

As a brand ambassador, he will also support Amadeus’s growth in other regions including western Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Diane Bouzebiba, managing director of Amadeus UK and Ireland, said: “Rob’s wealth of expertise combined with his customer and market knowledge will be a huge asset to Amadeus.

“We welcome Rob to our team and we hope that hiring him sends a strong message to our stakeholders that we are very serious about investing in the Amadeus business in the UK and Ireland, and placing customer insight at the heart of our business.

“We’re excited that he is on board as we strive to grow the business and brand in this market.”

Before joining Sabre Travel Network Sincvlair-Barnes was group head of publishing for First Choice Holidays and prior to that he held management roles at BBC Worldwide.
